Abstract

Inventory management is a critical component of supply chain operations that directly influences organizational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Traditional inventory management methods often suffer from inaccuracies, delays, stockouts, and excessive inventory carrying costs. The emergence of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Blockchain, and Automation has transformed inventory management into a highly intelligent and data-driven process. Technology-driven inventory management systems provide real-time visibility, predictive forecasting, automated replenishment, and enhanced decision-making capabilities. This study explores the role of emerging technologies in inventory management, evaluates their benefits and challenges, and proposes a framework for successful implementation. The findings indicate that technology-enabled inventory systems significantly improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, optimize inventory levels, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
