The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing. The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and other internationally recognized ethical guidelines. These principles govern the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher, ensuring that all published research is ethical, reliable, and scientifically sound.
The following principles form the foundation of the journal's Publication Ethics Policy and apply throughout the editorial, peer-review, and publication process.
Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions to the research. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.
Authors should retain original research data and make it available upon reasonable request. Research datasets should be cited appropriately in the reference list to support transparency and reproducibility. All sources, including published literature, figures, tables, software, and datasets, must be properly acknowledged.
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the publication process. Research should be reported honestly, accurately, and transparently, with sufficient methodological detail to allow verification and reproducibility.
Research involving humans or animals must comply with recognized ethical standards and applicable regulations. Where required, studies must have prior Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee approval, informed consent from participants, and prospective clinical trial registration. Ethical approval details should be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and authenticity of their work. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, image manipulation, authorship disputes, or any other form of research misconduct. Allegations are investigated in accordance with COPE recommendations.
If significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions to maintain the integrity of the scientific record and ensure transparency.
Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising, sponsorship, or commercial interests. Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and must not influence the peer-review process or publication decisions.
By adhering to these principles, the Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) promotes responsible research, editorial independence, transparency, and the publication of high-quality scientific literature.
