Informed Consent Policy

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of research participants. The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and other internationally recognized ethical standards regarding informed consent and patient confidentiality.

Authors must obtain written informed consent from all participants before conducting research involving human subjects. For studies involving identifiable information, photographs, clinical images, videos, case reports, or any data obtained through the doctor–patient relationship, explicit consent for publication must also be obtained.

Personal data and confidential information must be handled with the highest level of privacy and discretion. Identifying details should not be published unless they are essential to the scientific purpose of the manuscript and the participant has provided written permission for their disclosure.

The journal may request documentation confirming informed consent during the editorial process. Manuscripts that fail to meet ethical requirements for informed consent and participant confidentiality may be rejected or withdrawn from publication.
