Author Guidelines

Introduction

The Journal of Performance Management (JPM) welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions that advance research, theory, practice, and policy in the areas of performance management, strategic management, organizational performance, financial services, information systems, business analytics, and related disciplines.

 

Authors are encouraged to carefully review these guidelines before submitting a manuscript. Compliance with the journal’s requirements will facilitate a smooth and efficient review process.

 

Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following categories of submissions:

Word counts are approximate and include references, tables, figures, and appendices.

 

Manuscript Preparation

Language

All manuscripts must be written in clear, professional, and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a qualified language editor before submission.

 

Formatting Requirements

Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the following specifications:

 

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12-point
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Page Numbers: Required
  • Line Numbering: Recommended for review purposes
  • Text Alignment: Justified

 

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally be organized in the following order:

 

Title Page

The title page should be submitted separately and include:

 

  • Full title of the manuscript
  • Author name(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Corresponding author details
  • Email address(es)
  • ORCID iD(s) (if available)

 

Abstract

The abstract should contain 150–250 words and briefly summarize:

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

 

Main Manuscript

The manuscript should normally contain:

Tables and Figures

 

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
  • Each table and figure should include a descriptive title or caption.
  • All figures should be provided in editable, high-quality format.
  • Sources must be acknowledged where applicable.

 

Referencing Style

The journal follows the APA (7th Edition) citation and referencing style.

Authors must ensure that:

 

  • Every in-text citation appears in the reference list.
  • Every reference listed is cited within the manuscript.
  • References are accurate, complete, and properly formatted.

 

Publication Ethics

  • There is no submission fee.
  • APCs are payable only after final acceptance.
